James A. Benzoni is an attorney in private practice in Des Moines, Iowa. His practice is concentrated in the area of immigration law. Prior to commencing his post-secondary education, he spent approximately ten (10) years traveling throughout the United States and other parts of the world. Mr. Benzoni's experiences while traveling sparked his interest in immigration law.
Mr. Benzoni graduated magna cum laude from St. Meinard's Seminary College in May of 1976. He studied law at Drake University Law School, where he participated in law review and graduated Order of the Coif, receiving his Doctor of Jurisprudence with Honors in 1990.
In addition to his private practice, Mr. Benzoni has been an adjunct professor of Immigration Law at the Drake University Law School since 1997. He is also the founder and executive director of the Midwest Legal Immigration Project.
